Allianz Data Breach: 2.8Million Exposed

Hackers have leaked 2.8 million sensitive records from Allianz Life, exposing personal and professional data of customers and business partners in a broader wave of Salesforce-related breaches.

The breach occurred on July 16, 2025, when a threat actor used social engineering to access a third-party cloud-based CRM system. Allianz Life confirmed the attack, stating that personal data of most of its 1.4 million customers, financial professionals, and some employees was compromised.

The company has notified the FBI and emphasized that its internal systems remain unaffected. Allianz Life is currently investigating and has begun notifying impacted individuals.

While Allianz did not name the attackers, reports suggest the breach is linked to the ShinyHunters group, known for targeting major companies. Over the weekend, ShinyHunters and affiliated crews claimed responsibility and leaked full Salesforce databases, including “Accounts” and “Contacts” tables with names, birth dates, Tax IDs, and other sensitive information.
