SitusAMC, a leading real estate financing services provider for banks and lenders, disclosed a data breach discovered earlier this month that exposed customer information. The firm manages critical back office functions for financial institutions, including mortgage origination, servicing, and compliance.
Details of the Breach
SitusAMC, which serves approximately 1,500 clients, including major banks like JPMorgan Chase and Citi, and manages global assets worth over $500 billion, confirmed the incident began on November 12, 2025.
"On November 12, 2025, the Company became aware of an incident that we have now determined resulted in certain information from our systems being compromised," the data breach notice stated.
The company is currently investigating the incident with the assistance of external experts and has notified federal law enforcement authorities. SitusAMC emphasized that the security breach did not involve encrypting malware and has not impacted its business operations.
Client and Customer Data Exposed
The financing services provider confirmed that the breach exposed data belonging to some of its clients and their customers, although it did not specify which companies were affected or how many individuals were impacted.
SitusAMC has assessed and contained the breach. The company is now in regular contact with its clients to provide updates as the investigation progresses and remains focused on analyzing any potentially affected data. At this time, it is unclear how many clients or their individual customers were ultimately impacted.
